Senior Manager Data Governance

About the role

The Senior Manager Data Governance leads Ooredoo’s data governance function, ensuring data is trusted, well‑defined, protected, and effectively used to support business decisions, AI initiatives, and regulatory compliance. This role serves as the primary bridge between business units, IT, BI, Risk, Privacy, and Compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, standards and operating models.
• Own end‑to‑end data governance program, including data quality, metadata, master data, stewardship and governance processes.
• Lead the Data Governance Council, coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders and manage project risks, dependencies and timelines.
• Monitor progress, report on governance metrics and ensure delivery of objectives aligned with business priorities.
• Contribute to data and AI governance strategies, promoting ethical AI and responsible data usage.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in data management, governance, quality or strategy roles.
• Strong understanding of data governance operating models, best practices and data privacy regulations.
• Experience with AI governance, ethical AI principles and responsible data usage.
