Senior Network Engineer

About the role

Penta Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with deep expertise in Software‑Defined Networking (SDN). You will lead the design, implementation and optimisation of next‑generation network solutions for enterprise environments across EMEA.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and support Cisco ACI environments.
• Implement and optimise SD‑WAN solutions across multi‑site networks.
• Deliver and maintain Cisco SD‑Access (DNA Center) deployments.
• Troubleshoot complex LAN, WAN and data‑centre networking issues.
• Contribute to architecture design, documentation and best‑practice development.
• Collaborate with security, cloud and infrastructure teams.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Cisco ACI, SD‑WAN and Cisco SD‑Access.
• Deep understanding of enterprise routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN).
• Experience with Cisco DNA Center and network automation tools.
• Knowledge of cloud networking (Azure, AWS) is advantageous.
• Scripting/automation skills (Python, Ansible) are a plus.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network environments.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP or CCIE are highly desirable.
