Senior Quantity Surveyor – Major Tunnelling Projects

About the role

Mott MacDonald is seeking a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the construction supervision team for major tunnelling, underground structures and surface water drainage projects in Qatar. The role involves managing cost and commercial aspects throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and delivering value for money.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly construction valuations for major tunnelling, underground structures and surface water drainage projects.
• Evaluate site instructions, variation orders and contractor claims, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
• Implement methods for dispute avoidance and resolution throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying from a recognised university.
• Professional membership with RICS (essential).
• Proven experience on major tunnelling, underground structures and surface water drainage projects.
• Leadership and staff‑management capability.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.

• Data analysis using computer technology.
• Financial reporting and cost‑control.
