Senior Transport Planner – Public Transport Master Plan

About the role

Egis is seeking a Senior Transport Planner to lead the development and implementation of Qatar's Public Transport Master Plan. Based in Qatar, you will shape the long‑term vision, strategy and delivery framework for an integrated, sustainable public transport system across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Support the creation of the national Public Transport Master Plan, aligning it with national development strategies and sustainability goals.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing and planned transport networks, identifying gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and apply transport modelling and GIS‑based analysis to forecast demand, test scenarios and evaluate network performance.
• Define multimodal solutions, including metro, bus, feeder services and first/last‑mile connectivity.
• Engage with government entities, transport authorities, municipalities and private operators to build consensus.
• Prepare strategic policy recommendations, implementation roadmaps, governance structures and performance indicators.
• Produce high‑quality technical reports, presentations and decision‑support documentation for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Senior professional with extensive experience in transport planning, policy and strategy development.
• Proven expertise in multimodal network design and first/last‑mile integration.
• Strong analytical background with data‑driven decision‑making at government level.
