Site Manager – Operations & SCBA Maintenance

About the role

The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing all site operations, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, and managing the maintenance and recertification of fire‑fighting equipment such as Self‑Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) and Mine Safety Appliance (MSA) units. The role reports to senior management and acts with full authority on behalf of Intrepid during daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate site operations, departments, services and activities.
• Lead site functions to maintain ongoing compliance with contract requirements.
• Schedule and coordinate departmental activities to provide timely support services.
• Report status of the organization to management and investigate technical or operational issues.
• Provide technical and operational guidance and implement improvement initiatives.
• Monitor financial performance of site operations, report key metrics and take corrective actions.
• Coordinate site activities with other locations, military contacts and regional management.
• Plan and schedule site operations, establishing appropriate practices and procedures.
• Perform inspections, testing, maintenance and recertification of SCBA and MSA units on a twelve‑month cycle.

Required profile

• Authority to act for Intrepid on all daily operational matters.
• Availability to meet with government personnel within two hours on the installation.
• Experience supervising site operations and managing equipment maintenance programs.
• Ability to investigate technical issues, recommend resolutions and provide guidance.
• Responsibility for financial monitoring and reporting of site activities.

Required skills

• SCBA inspection, testing, maintenance and recertification.
• MSA unit testing and maintenance.
• Flow testing of breathing apparatus to manufacturer specifications.
• High‑pressure breathing air compressor and valve maintenance.
• Pressure gauge operation and recording of pressure test results.
• Inventory management of SCBA systems, including unique numbering and tracking.
• Repair and replacement of SCBA components such as o‑rings, inlet filters, straps, lenses and tubing.
