Student Advising Specialist – Academic Support

About the role

The University of Doha for Science and Technology is seeking a dedicated Student Advising Specialist to join its Student Central Services Department. In this role you will work closely with faculty advisors and students to provide personalized academic guidance, helping learners progress through their programmes and achieve their goals.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver academic advising services using a developmental dual‑advising model.
• Develop and monitor individualized student success plans, especially for at‑risk students.
• Assist students with course selection, sequencing, registration and connect them to campus resources.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions for faculty advisors.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff and other departments to enhance student support services.
• Maintain accurate advising records and appointment schedules in EAB Navigate360.
• Organise campus‑wide academic advising events and mentor peer academic advisors.
• Ensure compliance with university advising policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (required).
• Master’s degree and/or professional certification (preferred).
