Supply Chain Manager – Lubricants Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead procurement, strategic sourcing, inventory planning and end‑to‑end supply chain operations for a leading lubricant manufacturing facility in Qatar. The role ensures uninterrupted availability of base oils, additives, packaging materials and other plant requirements while driving cost optimisation and inventory efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all procurement activities for lubricant base oils, additive packages and packaging supplies.
• Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships.
• Plan and control inventory levels to balance service levels with working‑capital targets.
• Coordinate international procurement, import‑export procedures and shipping documentation.
• Collaborate with production, finance and logistics teams to align supply with demand forecasts.
• Analyse market trends, price fluctuations and supply risks to inform decision‑making.

Required profile

• 7–12 years of procurement and supply chain experience in lubricant blending, petrochemical, chemical or specialty chemical manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM or APICS/CSCP are highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of lubricant base oil groups (I‑V) and additive formulation technologies.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP, and advanced Microsoft Excel for analytics.
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder‑management skills.
