Tapping Operator

About the role

The Tapping Operator is responsible for transporting rodded anodes, bins and spent butts between the potline and bath cleaning plants in an optimized manner, while adhering to safety, operational procedures and Qatarization goals.

Key responsibilities

• Transport rodded anodes, bins and spent butts between the potline and bath cleaning plants in an optimized manner.
• Follow all operational procedures, policies and safety regulations to ensure controlled and consistent work.
• Generate departmental reports as requested by management in a timely and accurate manner.
• Perform first‑line maintenance on equipment and ensure vehicles comply with the maintenance schedule.
• Identify and report any equipment malfunctions for immediate repair or replacement.

Required profile

• High School Diploma and a valid GCC driving licence.
• Minimum 3 years experience in aluminium potline operations, preferably with logistics or metal tapping experience.
• Commitment to Qatarization by supporting the development and training of national employees.

Required skills

• Equipment maintenance (first‑line).
• Vehicle operation and management.
• Logistics handling of metal components.
