Waste Management Analyst

About the role

The Waste Management Analyst will implement and oversee QatarEnergy’s waste management program, ensuring compliance with local, state and international regulations while supporting safe, reliable operations across LNG facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate waste collection, transportation, storage and disposal activities.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of waste management facilities, ensuring safety and environmental compliance.
• Develop and implement waste management systems, strategies and corporate procedures.
• Prepare operating guides, standing instructions and manage departmental documentation and data reporting.
• Liaise with asset teams to plan and execute waste management activities on site.
• Communicate requirements and work plans with Operations and Maintenance supervisors.
• Lead implementation of waste management and safety guidelines at field locations and facilities, participating in safety reviews.
• Ensure waste management equipment operates efficiently and maintains safety controls.
• Provide technical expertise for waste treatment planning and implementation, including site visits.
• Support turnarounds by planning, preparing and mobilising additional contractor manpower and 24‑hour service.
• Coordinate on‑site activities, engage with waste management contractors and manage contract‑related issues.
• Review contractor method statements, job safety analyses, permits, waste management plans and invoices.
• Develop and roll out waste management awareness programs.
• Maintain all waste management documentation and correspondence in line with company standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a scientific discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of environmental/waste management experience, including at least 3 years in oil and gas waste management.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and waste management issues.
• Proven ability to develop procedures, documentation and reporting systems.
• Experience coordinating with contractors and managing compliance documentation.
