Well Intervention Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Well Intervention Engineer to plan, coordinate and support safe, cost‑effective well intervention programmes that optimise oil and gas production and injection. The role works closely with production, petroleum engineering, offshore teams and contractors to deliver slickline, coiled‑tubing, pumping and other well‑treatment operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare well‑intervention programmes for slickline, coiled tubing, pumping and related activities.
• Coordinate operations with Production, Petroleum Engineering, offshore teams and external contractors.
• Ensure all activities comply with HSE policies, procedures and ALARP requirements.
• Plan personnel, equipment and materials required for offshore operations.
• Manage mobilisation, shipment and logistics of equipment to offshore locations.
• Monitor offshore execution, review daily reports and track Non‑Productive Time (NPT).
• Manage contracts and evaluate contractor performance.
• Assess operational risks, implement mitigation and contingency measures.
• Participate in operational meetings, capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate programmes, reports and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of oil & gas experience, including at least 3 years offshore.
• Strong knowledge of well‑intervention operations (slickline, coiled tubing, pumping, well treatments).
• Good understanding of well completion and workover equipment.
• Experience in equipment planning, mobilisation and offshore logistics.
• Fluent English; strong communication and teamwork skills.
• IWCF Level 4 certification preferred.
