About the role

Burjline Builders is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage day‑to‑day accounting operations in Doha. The role involves overseeing financial reporting, reconciliations, and supporting audit activities while ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and documentation.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments.
• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions.
• Perform bank, balance‑sheet and inter‑company reconciliations.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses and ensure transaction accuracy.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports and conduct financial analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cost‑control initiatives.
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Assist internal and external auditors with required schedules and documentation.
• Identify variances, implement corrective actions and improve accounting processes.
• Provide guidance to junior accounting staff and perform other finance duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of general accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment in Qatar.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and month‑end closing procedures.
• Experience handling AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
