Application Support Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Application Support Specialist to provide end‑to‑end functional and technical support for our bank’s omni‑channel applications, including web, mobile, and corporate internet banking platforms. The role ensures stable, reliable operations through BAU support, incident management, monitoring, and release coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Handle BAU support emails, user queries, service requests, and incidents; prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve issues while meeting SLAs.
• Monitor application health using AppDynamics or similar APM tools; analyse logs, identify anomalies, and perform preliminary root‑cause analysis.
• Support weekend deployments and releases, validate functionality post‑deployment, and coordinate change windows with cross‑functional teams.
• Participate in patch management, disaster‑recovery drills, database upgrades, and infrastructure activities; validate applications during technical maintenance.
• Perform basic troubleshooting with Oracle SQL and MySQL, execute data queries, and review logs; use Java, JavaScript, and HTML knowledge to diagnose issues.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies, collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and business teams, and contribute to continuous improvement of support processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Proven experience in application support, production support, or IT operations.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with the capacity to conduct preliminary RCA.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively across cross‑functional teams.
