Assistant Director of Finance

About the role

The Assistant Director of Finance supports the Director of Finance in leading the hotel’s finance department. This senior middle‑management position oversees all core accounting functions and ensures strict financial controls, regulatory compliance, and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the accounting team, conduct performance reviews and develop staff.
• Act as deputy for the Director of Finance, representing the department in Executive Committee meetings and owner interactions.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end closing, prepare financial statements, P&L, balance sheets and variance analyses.
• Partner on annual operating and capital budgets, rolling forecasts and cash‑flow management.
• Design and monitor internal control systems, coordinate internal and external audits, and ensure tax compliance (VAT/GST, corporate, payroll).
• Manage working capital, monitor AR aging, support credit collections and oversee CapEx reviews.
