Assistant Vice President, Domain Support (Qatarization)

About the role

QNB Group, the largest bank in the Middle East and Africa, is hiring an Assistant Vice President for Domain Support in its Information Technology division in Doha. The incumbent leads the Domain Support team and manages the maintenance and support of Domain Operations functions, processes and procedures, delivering services within budgeted cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all areas of the Bank are supported by computer systems in line with IT standards, and help set standards for hardware, software and security of the enterprise domain network.
• Implement KPIs and best practices for the AVP and Domain Support, promote cost efficiency, and act within delegated authority.
• Serve as liaison between the team and customers, handle upgrades, installations, troubleshooting and maintenance of non-core servers and infrastructure applications such as Active Directory, Exchange, Archiving, Enterprise Backup, ECC, SharePoint and SQL Server, and keep activities within SLAs.
• Standardize practices, specify hardware and software solutions, plan infrastructure development, prepare technical requirements and documentation, and assist in business continuity planning.
• Administer servers across DC, DR, branch and departmental environments, apply patches, repair and upgrade servers, manage Active Directory, user accounts and email services, ensure DR readiness and take part in DR testing.
• Motivate and develop team members, encourage continuous improvement and best industry practices, and provide end-user training where needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in financial services, specializing in systems management, network design, implementation and maintenance.
• Strong technical knowledge of enterprise network systems and understanding of network and systems architecture.
