Associate and Engagement Manager – Government and Public Institutions

About the role

Oliver Wyman, a global management consulting firm and wholly owned subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan, is expanding its Doha office in the government and public sector, a strategic priority for the firm. It is looking for consultants to join its teams, which cover specialisations such as economic and social development, investment promotion, governance and fiscal and monetary policy. Two positions are described: Associate and Engagement Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Associate: break down complex problems into discrete tasks, direct junior consultants, plan and execute analysis, identify core issues and craft recommendations, and work with clients and project teams to move projects forward.
• Engagement Manager: lead projects day to day, guide the team from hypothesis collection to a solution, ensure recommendations are practical and coherent, and balance strategic thought leadership with technical and operational detail.

Required profile

• Degree from a top academic program.
• At least 5-7 years of relevant experience, ideally with a top-tier strategy consulting firm or similar.
• Experience leading projects in governmental/public-sector institutions, preferably in the GCC region.
• Track record of leading and managing teams and clients under tight deadlines.
• Strong strategic problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to present to senior executives, both internally and to clients.
• Arabic is a plus; willingness to travel.
