About the role
The Associate Specialist, Cost Control supports project cost forecasting, monitoring and reporting within the organization. Working under direct supervision, this entry‑level professional helps develop cost variances, trend analyses and completion reports.
Key responsibilities
- Forecast, control and report project costs needed for the organization.
- Develop project variances, trending and analysis of expenditures.
- Review project costs by category and calculate future costs based on labor productivity, material price changes, subcontractor rates, wage rates and risk analysis.
Required profile
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to perform routine assignments and solve standard problems in project controls.
Required skills
- Cost forecasting and variance analysis.
- Understanding of labor productivity, material pricing and subcontractor cost structures.
