Auditor (Qatari & Children of Qatari Mother)

About the role

The Internal Auditor will support CBQ by evaluating internal controls, policies and procedures across the bank. The role involves planning, executing, reporting and following up on audit assignments to safeguard the bank’s operations and ensure compliance with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and contribute to audit plans that assess adherence to CBQ policies and identify risk exposures.
• Conduct fieldwork, interviews and data analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls.
• Prepare detailed audit reports, highlight findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Investigate potential fraudulent activities and coordinate with Risk and Legal teams for remediation.
• Follow up with business units to ensure implementation of audit recommendations.
• Provide independent opinions on compliance and raise awareness of new legislation and audit trends.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aligned with international best practices.

Required profile

• Qatari nationality or child of a Qatari mother, as specified in the title.
• Strong understanding of internal audit methodologies, risk assessment and control frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, communication and investigative skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with business units, Risk and Legal functions.
