Beauty Advisor

About the role

The Beauty Advisor represents the brand in the store by maximising sales through exceptional customer service and deep product knowledge. The role creates a welcoming environment, gives personalised beauty consultations and contributes to store operations and visual presentation standards as directed by the store manager or assistant store manager.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact, giving personalised beauty consultations, skincare advice, makeup tutorials and product demonstrations.
• Help customers choose products, convert window shoppers into buyers and build lasting relationships.
• Promote and upsell the brand's products, including cross-selling complementary items, and encourage customers to join the Club Apparel Loyalty Program.
• Stay up to date on beauty trends, product launches and ingredients, and keep a deep understanding of the brand's ethos and products.
• Demonstrate and apply makeup or skincare products to show their features and benefits.
• Assist with opening and closing, inventory management and stock replenishment, and help keep the store clean and visually appealing.
• Support marketing and promotional activities such as in-store events and product launches.
• Follow SOPs for payments, returns and complaints, and comply with health and safety standards when handling beauty products.
• Achieve or exceed individual sales targets and track KPIs such as conversion rates, average transaction value and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of cosmetics, skincare and beauty trends, with experience applying products.
• Proven retail customer service skills, especially in beauty, and the ability to build rapport with customers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for personalised product recommendations.
• A background in cosmetology or skincare is preferred but not mandatory; professional training in makeup or skincare is a plus.
