Business Development Executive

About the role

ClassMate, Qatar's leading student platform with the largest student database in the country, is looking for a proactive Business Development Executive to grow its vendor network and build strong partnerships. You will take ownership of a specific category, from finding and approaching vendors to onboarding them and launching them on the app. The role suits a fresh graduate starting a career in sales, or someone with a few years of experience seeking more ownership.

Key responsibilities

• Research potential vendors and build a pipeline of partnership opportunities.
• Reach out to businesses by call, email, visit and other channels, and arrange and attend meetings to present ClassMate.
• Discuss partnership terms, student offers and commercial arrangements, and prepare proposals and onboarding requirements.
• Work with internal teams to get vendors listed and ready to launch on the app.
• Maintain vendor relationships and track outreach, follow-ups, meetings and onboarding against targets.
• Identify gaps and opportunities to improve the variety and quality of vendors in the category.

Required profile

• Fresh graduate or someone with a few years of experience in sales, business development, account management or a related field.
• Available for full-time, office-based work in Lusail, with vendor meetings and visits as required.
• Confident communicator who enjoys building relationships, organised and proactive with follow-ups.
• Willingness to learn, take ownership and work towards sales targets.
• Strong English; Arabic is an advantage. Knowledge of the Qatar market or experience with local businesses is a plus.
