Business Development Leader – International Infrastructure

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Business Development Leader to drive the identification, evaluation and execution of strategic growth opportunities across international infrastructure and utility markets. The role will focus on creating new business pipelines, assessing project viability and fostering relationships with key stakeholders to support long‑term organisational growth.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities aligned with corporate growth objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with government bodies, industry stakeholders and strategic partners.
• Conduct market analysis and assess the commercial viability of prospective projects and investments.
• Develop financial models and support business case preparation for new opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal commercial, finance and investment teams to evaluate potential transactions and partnerships.
• Monitor budgets and provide financial reporting and variance analysis to management.
• Adapt business development strategies in response to changing market conditions and stakeholder feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in business development, strategy, corporate development or a related commercial function.
• Proven experience leading teams or managing projects and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure, utilities, energy or industrial sectors.
• Excellent communication, relationship management and presentation abilities.
• Experience working across international or emerging markets is advantageous.
