Cardiology Consultant

About the role

Al Emadi Hospital is seeking an experienced Cardiology Consultant to provide specialized medical care to patients with cardiovascular conditions. The consultant will diagnose and treat cardiac disorders, work with multidisciplinary teams and help improve cardiac care services at the hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate patients with cardiac conditions through history taking, physical examination and diagnostic tests.
• Interpret results such as echocardiograms, electrocardiograms and cardiac catheterizations to make accurate diagnoses.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management, lifestyle changes or surgical interventions.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Consult on complex cardiac cases with other healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, nurses and allied health professionals for coordinated care.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and their families.

Required profile

• Medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Board certification or equivalent qualification in cardiology.
• Active medical licensure or eligibility for licensure in Qatar is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Cardiology Consultant in a reputable healthcare setting.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
