Cargo Inventory Analytics Specialist

About the role
The Cargo Inventory Analytics Specialist will support the Cargo Inventory Analytics Manager in developing and implementing inventory controls across Qatar Airways Cargo’s passenger and freighter network. The role focuses on balancing allotment and free‑sale capacity, managing overbooking levels, and applying commercial controls to optimise revenue and operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse and set optimal allocation capacity on a seasonal basis to mitigate market fluctuations while capturing ad‑hoc demand.
- Define commercial entry parameters for structural demand (e.g., RFQs, allocations) to prioritise long‑term profitable flows on both freighter and passenger flights.
- Adjust commercial entry requirements for ad‑hoc demand to maximise revenue potential of cargo capacity.
- Develop data‑driven initiatives and optimisation models to continuously improve commercial controls.
- Communicate new or updated inventory control initiatives to regional stakeholders and the wider revenue management team, ensuring understanding and support.
- Propose improvements to inventory control settings in team meetings or to the line manager.
- Define seasonal payload limitations for impacted routes and set capacity management controls for the entire season.
Required profile
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in cargo or airline operations.
- Ability to communicate inventory control initiatives to diverse stakeholders.
- Proactive attitude towards continuous improvement and optimisation.
