Carpentry Foreman

About the role

The Carpentry Foreman will lead on‑site carpentry crews, overseeing both rough and finish woodwork projects. This role ensures that all work meets safety, budget, and quality standards while coordinating closely with engineers, project managers, and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assign daily tasks, manage manpower, and lead a team of carpenters and subcontractors.
• Read and translate construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications into actionable work.
• Inspect completed work to minimize reworks, ensure accurate measurements, and keep projects on schedule.
• Enforce site safety rules, conduct safety briefings, and ensure proper use of tools and protective equipment.
• Order and track building materials, tools, and equipment needed for daily activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands‑on carpentry and supervisory experience.
• Strong communication, conflict‑resolution, and time‑management abilities.
• High school diploma, technical certificates, or formal carpentry certification.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of rough carpentry.
• Expert knowledge of finish carpentry.
• Proficiency in framing.
• Proficiency in millwork.
