Charges Planning & Analysis Manager

About the role

Qatar Airways is seeking a Charges Planning & Analysis Manager to lead the Air Navigation Charges (ANC) function within its Navigation Services – Air Traffic Operations team in Doha. The role combines strategic financial partnership, cost‑avoidance initiatives, and team leadership to optimise the airline’s ANC exposure.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the strategic financial counterpart to Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) and negotiate capital‑investment terms.
• Engage with ANSPs and industry bodies (IATA, ICAO) to lobby for transparent and cost‑effective ANC.
• Deliver budgeting, control, reporting and forecasting of ANC aligned with the Business Operational Plan.
• Lead the ANC team to ensure timely invoice payment and accurate verification against flight‑operations data.
• Produce regular reports (budget variance, route performance, airspace utilisation, monthly forecast) for senior management.
• Monitor financial KPIs such as cost per flight and charge variance by route.
• Develop and implement initiatives (weight‑based discounts, revised charging schemes) to improve ANC budget performance.
• Partner with Finance on month‑end closing, charge accruals and forecasting accuracy, including scenario modelling.
• Lead ANC‑related projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope and budget.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading finance or cost‑analysis teams in aviation or a related sector.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills with ANSPs and industry groups.
• Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable recommendations.
