About the role
A Chief Engineer position is available on a lift boat operating in offshore waters off Qatar. The role requires a minimum of 5 years' experience as Chief Engineer and at least 2 years' experience in the rank on DP2 jack-up barges or lift boats.
Required profile
- Degree from a recognised maritime academy or university
- Valid Chief Engineer Unlimited Certificate of Competency (STCW A-III/2)
- Valid national Certificate of Competency with applicable Flag State endorsement or recognition
- Valid DP system manufacturer-approved DP maintenance course
- Valid BOSIET/FOET (with HUET)
- Valid seafarer medical fitness certificate (STCW I/9)

- Basic Safety Training (STCW A-VI/1)
- Survival Craft and Rescue Boats (STCW A-VI/2-1)
- Advanced Fire Fighting (STCW A-VI/3)
- Medical First Aid and Medical Care (STCW A-VI/4-1, A-VI/4-2)
- Security Training (STCW A-VI/6)
- Management Level Course (MLC) for marine engineer officers (STCW A-III/2)
- Engine Room Resource Management (ERM) (STCW A-III/2)
