Civil Engineer - Substation Projects

About the role

Madre Integrated Engineering is looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to support civil construction and site activities on substation-related projects in Qatar. The engineer supervises site works, coordinates with project teams and subcontractors, ensures compliance with approved drawings and specifications, and maintains quality, safety and schedule requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor civil construction activities at site and ensure they follow approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors and other engineering disciplines.
• Monitor site progress and ensure activities are completed within the project schedule.
• Conduct site inspections and verify the quality of civil works; review drawings and identify technical issues or discrepancies.
• Support preparation of progress reports, site records and technical documentation.
• Coordinate material requirements and ensure proper usage at site.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and quality requirements.
• Support testing, inspection and handover activities, and assist in resolving site-related technical and construction issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5-8 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
• Experience in substation, utility, infrastructure or similar projects.
• Experience with QatarEnergy or Kahramaa substation projects is preferred.
• Good communication and reporting skills, and ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
