Civil Engineer – Warehouse & Industrial Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to lead and coordinate civil works on warehouse and industrial building projects in Doha. The role involves supervising site activities, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and local regulations, and delivering projects safely, on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, method statements and material submittals.
• Plan, supervise and coordinate civil works including excavation, foundations, concrete slabs, blockwork, waterproofing and finishing.
• Manage construction of heavy‑duty industrial flooring, loading bays, ramps, dock levellers and vehicle access roads.
• Coordinate structural steel, precast elements, mezzanine floors and cladding supports.
• Monitor quality of concrete, reinforcement, formwork, drainage and other civil works.
• Prepare and submit inspection requests, material inspections, work completion records and quality documents.
• Conduct testing such as soil compaction, concrete cube and water tests.
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly progress reports and assist in work programmes, resource plans and material schedules.
• Identify delays, technical issues, variations and risks and report them to the Project Manager.
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure integration with MEP, racking, fire protection and HVAC systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Valid professional engineering registration (where required).
• Minimum 5 years of civil engineering experience, with at least 3 years on warehouse, industrial or logistics projects.
• Experience in Qatar or the GCC region is preferred.
• Valid driving licence preferred.

Required skills

• Reading and interpreting civil, structural, architectural and infrastructure drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Knowledge of Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Quantity take‑off, construction planning, material control and progress measurement.
• Understanding of concrete technology, reinforcement, formwork, structural steel, flooring, drainage and waterproofing.
• Preparation of method statements, inspection requests, technical reports and site documentation.
• Familiarity with quality‑control systems and construction inspection procedures.
• Health, safety and environmental compliance knowledge.
