Commissioning Manager

About the role

This is a key leadership role responsible for taking a project safely and efficiently from mechanical completion through to handover and start-up. It covers commissioning across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and process disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the commissioning team across all disciplines
• Develop and implement the commissioning strategy, procedures and schedule
• Coordinate closely with construction, engineering and the Client during system turnover and handover
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, permit-to-work and Safe Control of Work requirements
• Oversee pre-commissioning, commissioning and performance testing activities
• Manage punch lists, completion systems (ICAPS or equivalent) and close-out documentation
• Report progress, risks and KPIs to Project Management and Client representatives

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• 15+ years in oil and gas, including 8+ years in a commissioning leadership role
• Proven experience on onshore/offshore EPC projects, ideally in the Middle East
• Familiarity with Qatar regulations and Client requirements is a strong advantage

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of commissioning methodologies, completion management systems and industry standards
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
