Consultant Anesthesiologist (Full‑Time) – Qatar

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Consultant Anesthesiologist to join a leading healthcare provider in Qatar. The role involves delivering safe, high‑quality anesthesia care across elective and emergency surgeries while working within a modern, multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pre‑anesthetic assessments and develop individualized anesthesia plans.
• Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia for both elective and emergency procedures.
• Monitor patients throughout the peri‑operative period and ensure safe recovery.
• Manage airway emergencies, provide resuscitation, and handle critical‑care cases.
• Deliver acute and chronic pain management services.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, intensivists, nursing staff and allied health professionals.
• Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to clinical governance and patient‑safety standards.
• Participate in departmental meetings, quality‑improvement initiatives, CME activities and clinical audits.
• Mentor and supervise junior medical staff as required.

Required profile

• MD/MS/DNB or equivalent qualification in Anesthesiology with board certification.
• 5‑10 years of post‑specialisation experience at consultant level.
• Eligibility to obtain a Qatar medical licence.
• Strong expertise in peri‑operative, critical‑care, airway and pain management.
• Excellent communication, leadership and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to evidence‑based, patient‑centred care.
