Contract Officer

About the role

The Contract Officer is responsible for managing all contract activities in line with QAS and QR policies. This role ensures legal compliance, coordinates with internal departments, and uses technological solutions to protect the interests of QAS and the QR Group.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and track contract requests from pre‑award phase through signature and post‑contract compliance.
• Notify end‑user departments of contract expiries and initiate renewal processes at least six months in advance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to draft, review, and finalize contract templates, forms, and appendices.
• Raise contract requests in the Q‑Contract Approval System and keep the QAS Contract Management System and related archives up‑to‑date.
• Coordinate with QR and QAS contract teams, obtain counter‑party confirmations, and escalate any delays exceeding seven days.
• Inform line managers of clauses affecting other QAS contracts and forward multi‑stakeholder contracts for endorsement.
• Collect post‑contract documentation from stakeholders and ensure performance optimisation and corrective actions.
• Perform any other duties related to contract administration as required.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work closely with procurement, finance, insurance, and end‑user departments.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
