Corporate Development Manager

About the role

The Corporate Development Manager will operate within the Group Strategy & Investments function, providing analytical, strategic and executional support across strategy formulation, investment analysis, transaction execution and portfolio monitoring. This role acts as a cross‑functional problem‑solver, partnering with senior leaders to drive Qatar Airways Group’s growth agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development, refinement and coordination of the Group’s corporate strategy, including strategic planning cycles, OKRs and KPI reporting.
• Conduct structured analyses of industry dynamics, competitive positioning and market trends to inform senior‑leadership decisions.
• Prepare high‑quality strategy documents, board materials and executive presentations.
• Identify, screen and evaluate potential investment, M&A and partnership opportunities through market research and financial analysis.
• Build and maintain financial models, valuations and risk‑return analyses for investment recommendations.
• Assist in due‑diligence activities, coordinate inputs from internal stakeholders and external advisors, and produce investment memoranda.
• Monitor post‑transaction portfolio performance, governance obligations and value‑creation milestones.
• Operate flexibly across both strategy and investment verticals, managing multiple workstreams with autonomy and rigor.

Required profile

• Consulting‑grade analytical rigor and strong financial acumen.
• Proven ability to work independently in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments.
• Experience in corporate strategy, investment analysis or M&A within a large organization.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across finance, legal, commercial and operations functions.
• Comfort with hypothesis‑driven problem solving and cross‑functional collaboration.
