Data & AI Project Lead / Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Data & AI Project Lead to drive end‑to‑end delivery of data, analytics, governance and AI initiatives for a leading banking client in Qatar. The role requires strong technical insight, stakeholder management and the ability to navigate complex, multi‑vendor environments.

Key responsibilities

• Own full project lifecycle from planning and execution to governance and closure.
• Coordinate and engage business units, IT teams and external partners.
• Implement Agile project governance, including sprint planning, backlog management and progress tracking via JIRA.
• Facilitate Project Review Working Groups, manage risks, issues and escalations across workstreams.
• Oversee vendor performance, ensuring timelines, budgets and quality standards are met.
• Monitor dependencies and ensure alignment of Data, Analytics, Governance and AI deliverables with business objectives.

Required profile

• 12+ years managing large‑scale Data and AI projects, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Strong technical understanding of data platforms, analytics ecosystems and AI solutions.
• Proven ability to lead complex stakeholder environments and deliver under tight timelines.
• Hands‑on experience with Agile delivery methodologies and vendor management.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
