Database Administrator (DBA) – Doha, Qatar

About the role

The company is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join its IT team in Doha. You will be responsible for designing, managing and optimizing critical databases, ensuring data availability, integrity, performance and security.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Monitor and tune database performance, implement indexing strategies and resolve bottlenecks.
• Plan and execute regular backups, disaster‑recovery procedures and high‑availability configurations.
• Implement security controls to protect databases from unauthorized access.
• Collaborate with development teams to support query development and schema design.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Minimum of three years of hands‑on experience in database administration.
• Current residence in Qatar.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure Database Administrator Associate or Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional are a plus.
