About the role
The Database Administrator designs, manages and optimizes databases to ensure data availability, integrity, performance and security. This is a full-time position based in Doha, Qatar, requiring 3+ years of experience.
Key responsibilities
- Install, configure and maintain databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- Optimize database performance and indexing
- Perform backups, disaster recovery and high availability configurations
- Secure databases against unauthorized access
- Support developers with database queries and schema design
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in database administration
- Currently residing in Qatar
Preferred certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
- Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional
