Delivery Assurance Director - Mining

About the role

This role leads the owner-side delivery of major mining and mineral processing projects, from feasibility and investment decision through construction, commissioning and ramp-up. It is a senior leadership position focused on delivering large-scale projects safely, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mining projects from study and feasibility through execution and production ramp-up.
• Oversee technical due diligence, feasibility studies, CAPEX, schedules and project risks.
• Manage EPCM/EPC contractors and the owner's project teams.
• Lead construction, commissioning and ramp-up of mines and processing plants.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
• Manage project risks, claims, recovery plans and executive reporting.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, tailings and community requirements.

Required profile

• 15+ years in mining capital projects.
• 5+ years in an owner's-side leadership role such as Study Manager, Project Director or Head of Projects.
• Personally led at least one USD 500m+ mine or processing plant as the owner's accountable lead.
• Experience across feasibility/investment decision and project execution/ramp-up.
• Degree in Mining, Metallurgical, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.

Required skills

• Mineral processing experience in Gold, Phosphate or Base Metals.
• Strong EPCM project delivery experience.
• Experience delivering projects in frontier or high-risk jurisdictions.
