Development Engineer Level 2 – IFE & Connectivity

About the role

Qatar Airways is seeking a Development Engineer Level 2 to join the CAMO Engineering department in Doha. The role focuses on In‑Flight Entertainment (IFE) and Connectivity systems, ensuring compliance with continuing airworthiness requirements and improving reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate airworthiness and service documentation (AD, CN, SB, SIL, OIT, AOTN, TFU, FTD) and take timely corrective actions.
• Analyse reliability alerts, identify root causes, and propose implementation plans to maintain optimal reliability and cost levels.
• Assist maintenance and internal/external customers in resolving technical queries, repeated defects, and AOG situations.
• Initiate and process deviations to certified aircraft configuration or approved maintenance data.
• Review and recommend technical and commercial proposals, retrofit modification orders, and engineering change requests.
• Conduct technical investigations (TORs, MORs, ASRs) and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Coordinate with manufacturers, vendors, and internal departments on technical and project issues.
• Prepare product specifications and support commercial teams in RFIs, RFPs, and purchase agreements.

Required profile

• Experience working within a CAMO or similar airworthiness environment.
• Familiarity with aviation regulatory documentation and processes.
• Strong analytical ability to evaluate reliability data and technical proposals.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with vendors, manufacturers, and internal teams.
