Door Attendant – Guest Services

About the role

The Door Attendant provides a warm welcome and seamless assistance to guests and visitors at a Marriott hotel in West Bay, Doha. Working full‑time on‑site, you will be the first point of contact, ensuring a smooth and memorable arrival and departure experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and escort guests to their rooms, opening doors and offering assistance.
• Inform guests about hotel amenities, services, operating hours, and local attractions.
• Explain room features such as key usage, mini‑bar, in‑room safe, and laundry services.
• Transport luggage to and from guest rooms or designated bell areas, and manage luggage storage and retrieval.
• Assist guests with vehicle entry and exit, including loading and unloading luggage.
• Provide directions, arrange transportation (taxi, shuttle, limousine), and record advance requests.
• Communicate parking procedures and maintain awareness of undesirable persons on the premises.
• Follow all company policies, report accidents or unsafe conditions, and maintain a clean, professional appearance.
• Answer telephone calls using proper etiquette and develop positive working relationships with colleagues.
• Perform physical duties such as standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lb unassisted and up to 75 lb with assistance, and navigating stairs or ramps.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior work experience required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving objects as described.
• Capability to read and verify information in small print.
• Clear and professional verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work full‑time on‑site in a hospitality environment.
