Electrical & Instrumentation Inspector

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Inspector to oversee on‑site inspection, testing and commissioning activities for oil & gas projects.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor electrical and instrumentation works to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and standards.
• Witness and verify testing and commissioning activities, including loop checks, insulation resistance, continuity and functional tests.
• Review and approve ITPs, RFIs, method statements and inspection reports.
• Identify non‑conformances, issue NCRs and follow up on corrective actions.
• Coordinate with construction teams, engineers and contractors to resolve inspection issues.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, including at least 4 years on onshore and offshore projects.
• Valid COMPEX EX‑01 certification (mandatory) and strong knowledge of ASTM, IEEE, IEC standards.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with IMTE equipment such as Megger, multimeter, insulation tester, clamp meter, calibrator, HART communicator and pressure testing instruments.
• Proficiency in reviewing ITPs, preparing RFIs and ensuring QA/QC compliance.
