Employee Relations Manager (Qatarization)

About the role

The Employee Relations Manager will lead a broad range of professional ER activities across QR Group, handling grievances, appeals and investigations while partnering closely with business units. The role also drives IT transformation of the ER function and supports national talent development initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advice and counsel on employee relations processes, ensuring compliance with Qatar labour regulations.
• Monitor and oversee investigations (disciplinary, grievance, speak‑up) and analyse trends to ensure consistency.
• Design and deliver training on ER matters, including employment regulations, discipline, terminations, ethics and personnel policies.
• Identify risk and control gaps, recommend corrective actions and support audit processes.
• Represent QR Group at hearings, mediations and meetings with external stakeholders to de‑escalate issues.
• Ensure HR policies, procedures and reporting meet legal and government requirements.
• Lead, supervise and develop the ER team, handling recruitment, performance management and succession planning.
• Coach national employees to build a pipeline of Qatarised talent.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Qatar labour laws and employee relations best practices.
• Proven experience managing investigations, grievance handling and policy interpretation.
• Ability to develop and deliver training programmes for managers and staff.
• Experience leading a team, including recruitment, coaching and performance management.
• Commitment to national talent development and Qatarisation objectives.
