Engineer Technician

About the role

Perform drafting, surveying, and GIS/GeoBase activities to support the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program at Al Udeid Air Base, Doha, Qatar. The role involves creating technical drawings, maps, and geospatial data, as well as providing engineering assistance to customers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Create and print custom maps, save them to government systems, and provide engineering surveys for facility projects.
• Conduct field land surveys, collect geospatial data, and update utility, infrastructure, and facility databases.
• Maintain technical drawings, GIS data, and maps using AutoCAD, ESRI ArcGIS Pro, and related software.
• Compile project documentation, cost estimates, specifications, and schedules.
• Perform GIS and GeoBase activities in accordance with DoDI 8130.01 and related Air Force guidelines.
• Update and maintain installation spatial data, including CIP, IDP, and district plans.

Required profile

• At least three years of surveying and drafting experience and one year with current AutoCAD and GIS software.
• U.S. Navy status and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• U.S. citizenship, valid driver’s license, and passport.
• Experience on U.S. Government or military projects preferred.
