Engineering Technician (Maintenance & Guest Services)

About the role

We are looking for an Engineering Technician to join our facilities team in Doha. The role focuses on responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all building systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen and mechanical equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment and machinery; identify and operate shut‑off valves for utilities.
• Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs, and clean work areas.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair electrical components, plumbing fixtures, HVAC systems, kitchen equipment and other guestroom items.
• Program televisions, manage housekeeping and engineering inventory, and update air‑handler schedules.
• Execute interior and exterior landscaping repairs, including sprinkler systems.
• Apply Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to follow safety, security and company policies and complete required certifications.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality and strong communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb and perform manual tasks.
