English Instructor

About the role

The College of the North Atlantic – Qatar seeks a part‑time English Instructor for its Continuing Professional Education department. Reporting to the Manager of Continuing and Professional Education, the role supports the College’s mission by delivering high‑quality English instruction to students whose first language is not English.

Key responsibilities

• Develop course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, instructional materials and assessments aligned with professional and industry requirements.
• Deliver engaging instruction that maximises student development and retention, using diverse teaching strategies.
• Apply best‑practice educational methods, integrating practical, industry‑relevant contexts into assignments.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance and grades, providing timely feedback.
• Utilise and recommend educational technologies, preparing learning support materials through the College’s LMS (D2L) as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Certificate or diploma in post‑secondary, adult or vocational education (e.g., CELTA, Delta, TESL, TESOL).
• Minimum 3 years teaching experience with non‑native English speakers.
• Experience in curriculum development and student assessment.
• Strong teamwork and organisational abilities.
