Environment Technician - Waste Management

About the role

Elite Hire Services is hiring an Environment Technician for waste management in Qatar. The role covers implementing waste management programmes, monitoring sludge drying beds, collecting samples and carrying out waste and housekeeping inspections.

Key responsibilities

• Implement waste management programmes as assigned by the client.
• Monitor produced-water sludge drying beds and supervise contractors' daily activities.
• Collect waste samples, coordinate laboratory testing and supervise sampling during turnaround activities.
• Maintain chain-of-custody forms and deliver samples to the laboratory.
• Conduct waste and housekeeping inspections at HSE yards, plants and facilities.
• Supervise loading, unloading and temporary storage of waste consignments.
• Prepare waste statistics, environmental inspection reports and incident-related inspection reports.

Required profile

• Higher secondary education with a diploma in Environmental Science, Chemistry or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in waste management, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
• Valid Qatar driving licence and valid defensive driving certificate.
