Environmental Specialist for Construction Projects

About the role

The Environmental Specialist will implement and monitor the Environmental Management Plan for construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with Ashghal specifications and Qatar environmental regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) in line with Ashghal specifications.
• Conduct environmental inspections and audits to verify project compliance.
• Monitor dust, noise, wastewater, waste disposal, and pollution control measures.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of construction and hazardous waste.
• Prepare environmental monitoring reports, inspection records, and compliance documentation.
• Identify environmental risks and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and client representatives on environmental matters.
• Deliver environmental awareness training for site personnel and subcontractors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental management within construction or infrastructure projects.
• Previous experience on Ashghal projects in Qatar is highly preferred.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of Qatar environmental regulations and ISO 14001.
