About the role
The Environmental Specialist will implement and monitor the Environmental Management Plan for construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with Ashghal specifications and Qatar environmental regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and monitor the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) in line with Ashghal specifications.
- Conduct environmental inspections and audits to verify project compliance.
- Monitor dust, noise, wastewater, waste disposal, and pollution control measures.
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of construction and hazardous waste.
- Prepare environmental monitoring reports, inspection records, and compliance documentation.
- Identify environmental risks and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and client representatives on environmental matters.
- Deliver environmental awareness training for site personnel and subcontractors.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental management within construction or infrastructure projects.
- Previous experience on Ashghal projects in Qatar is highly preferred.
Required skills
- Good knowledge of Qatar environmental regulations and ISO 14001.
