About the role
We are looking for an experienced Equation Developer to join our banking technology team. The role focuses on designing, customizing, and maintaining the BankFusion Equation core banking platform on IBM i / AS400 environments. You will work closely with business analysts and operations to ensure seamless end‑of‑day processing and integration with external banking systems.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and enhance applications within the BankFusion Equation core banking suite.
- Perform hands‑on development using IBM i / AS400 / iSeries technologies (RPGLE, CLLE, Free Format RPG, SQLRPGLE).
- Configure Equation modules, charges, reports, and application parameters.
- Create and maintain Equation User Exits, APIs, Input Functions, and custom middleware programs.
- Provide production support, troubleshoot critical incidents, and support EOD operations across environments.
- Manage Equation upgrades, migrations, patches, and implementation activities.
- Configure and support IBM MQ / MQ Series integration and develop interfaces with ATM, SWIFT, and other banking systems.
- Extract and analyze data from DB2/400 for reporting, reconciliation, and validation.
- Support UAT, SIT, regression testing and production deployments, and produce technical documentation.
Required profile
- 6+ years of experience in IBM i / AS400 development and support.
- Extensive hands‑on experience with BankFusion Equation core banking solution.
- Strong expertise in Equation module implementation, customization, and support.
- Proven proficiency in RPGLE, CLLE, Free Format RPG, SQLRPGLE, and DB2/400.
- Experience with ATM, SWIFT, MQ, and other banking interfaces; GCC banking environment experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT preferred.
