Experienced Fabricator – Pipe & Structural Steel

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Fabricator with extensive experience in pipe and structural steel work. The role involves fabricating, assembling, and installing piping systems and mechanical components while adhering to engineering drawings, safety standards, and quality requirements. Experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sectors is highly preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble small‑ and large‑bore pipe spools and complete piping systems.
• Fabricate and install structural steel items such as pipe supports, stands, gates, guardrails, and spectacle blinds.
• Work with carbon steel, stainless steel, galvanized steel and other ferrous and non‑ferrous materials.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, isometric drawings and fabrication details independently.
• Fabricate pressure vessels, heat exchangers, saddles, vessel nozzles and other heavy components to specification.
• Perform cutting, fitting, grinding, bending and assembly operations using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Ensure all fabricated items meet quality standards, dimensional tolerances and project specifications.
• Follow safety procedures, company policies and industry standards at all times.
• Coordinate with supervisors, inspectors and other trades to achieve timely completion.

Required profile

• Secondary School Certificate or equivalent.
• Recognized craft training certificate in fabrication, pipefitting, bending, riveting, burning or related mechanical trades.
• Basic English communication skills for reading and writing engineering documentation.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Fabricator, preferably in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques and pipework assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and isometric drawings independently.
• Experience with structural and pressure‑vessel fabrication.
• Proficiency with fabrication tools, measuring instruments and workshop equipment.
• Good understanding of material identification and handling.
