Fabrication Project Engineer / Construction Engineering Specialist

About the role

Saipem is seeking a Fabrication Project Engineer / Construction Engineering Specialist to join the COMP5 project within its Fabrication Department in Doha, Qatar. The role reports to the Fabrication Manager and will act as the main communication hub between subcontractors, fabrication yards and clients, ensuring smooth progress of fabrication activities.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the focal point of communication among subcontractors, fabrication yards and clients for daily fabrication activities.
• Prepare execution strategies and detailed plans before project start‑up.
• Plan, manage and execute projects while overseeing Safety, Health & Environment (SHE), quality, cost and schedule.
• Review construction strategies, assess subcontractor performance against plans, and define remedial actions through site verification.
• Monitor and track material purchasing from purchase request to purchase order issuance and delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any discipline).
• Minimum 13 years of experience in EPC fabrication projects.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• EPC construction and offshore facility fabrication management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Advanced Excel capabilities (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas).
