F&B Hostess

About the role

Minor Hotels is looking for an F&B Hostess for its Souq Waqif boutique hotel. As the first point of contact for guests, the hostess creates a welcoming atmosphere and ensures a positive dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and seat them according to the restaurant's floor plan
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly, and address concerns and complaints
• Conduct regular table visits to monitor guest satisfaction
• Handle reservations and cancellations, communicate changes to management and pre-assign tables, addressing special requests
• Maintain a clean and organized hostess stand and dining area, and ensure tables are properly set
• Monitor the cleanliness and working condition of equipment and supplies
• Assist staff as needed, collaborate with restaurant staff and promote a cooperative working climate
• Be flexible and rotate between different F&B outlets as required
• Assist with cashiering procedures and balance transactions
• Take part in training and other duties assigned by management

Required profile

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is a plus
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
• Professional appearance and customer service-oriented mindset
• Detail-oriented, with a focus on cleanliness and organization
