FHE Refueler Mechanic

About the role

The FHE Refueler Mechanic supervises the reconstitution, preservation and maintenance of USAF Fuels Support Equipment and vehicle assets, ensuring compliance with USAF requirements and Amentum quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve monthly reconstitution, preservation and inspection goals for fuels equipment.
• Perform Limited Technical Inspections, prioritize work, and ensure economic repairs.
• Inspect, test, repair and maintain electrical and air‑conditioning systems on fuels assets.
• Manage hazardous material storage and disposal according to SOPs.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a stock of charged batteries, and ensure quality assurance of completed repairs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least five years of fuels technician experience.
• Outstanding customer service, organizational skills and intermediate English proficiency.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a host‑nation license.
• Physical ability to lift/push/pull at least 50 lb and work outdoors in noisy environments.

Required skills

• Maintenance of fuels support equipment and vehicle assets.
• Electrical system diagnostics using wiring diagrams, test equipment and special tools.
• Air‑conditioning system repair and battery maintenance.
• Operation of material‑handling and light to heavy military vehicles.
• Proficiency with Windows OS and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
